ACCESSIBILITY

The following information provides details about the bookable accessible provisions at the festival. If you have any questions that are not answered below, please get in touch with info@jamesdeanevents.com

If you would like to register to use any of the following accessible facilities:

• Personal Assistant Ticket
• Viewing Platforms
• Accessible Parking
• Accessible Toilets
• Accessible Campsite

Firstly, you will need to purchase a ticket in the normal way and then email us at info@jamesdeanevents.com and inform us of the facilities you would like to use. You will also need to upload some supporting evidence along with your application.

It is mandatory to provide one of the following forms of supporting documentation in your application as evidence of your requirements and to grant a carer ticket. Please include one of the following with your email:

PIP - Receiving personal independence payment
DLA - Care and/or mobility
Letter from a medical professional
D/deaf or blind registration
The Access Card, Nimbus Card or equivalent with a +1 Icon for PA tickets
Blue Badge - permitted for parking only requests

Please note any submitted documents are securely destroyed post-event.

If you do not have the above evidence but feel you need assistance to access the festival, please contact us at info@jamesdeanevents.com. We may still be able to allow you access to the campsite, however, this will be at the discretion of the disabled camping management team.

Anyone turning up on the day without making prior arrangements to use the accessibility campsite may not be able to access our facilities. However, we will always try to accommodate any late requests.

PARTY SIZE:

The accessible campsite is strictly prioritized to accommodate 1 guest and 1 carer per application. If you're coming in a larger group, you may request additional guests to camp with you, however, this will be looked at on a case-by-case basis and no guarantees can be made they will be allowed. We must put the needs of guests who need this service first.

VIEWING PLATFORM:

There will be a Platform Manager based in the Arena who can assist with any problems or queries. There is limited access to the viewing platforms. Access is provided on a first-come-first-served basis. Access customers are welcome to bring their own chairs. Personal Assistants are welcome to use the platforms unless an access customer requires the space. The viewing platforms have a limited capacity and are strictly for access customers plus 1 PA only, subject to capacity. There is a wheelchair-accessible ramp at the viewing platform.

ACCESSIBLE CAMPSITE:

The Accessible Campsite is available to customers who require accessible facilities. By locating these facilities in one campsite we can ensure that they are serviced, cleaned and maintained regularly.

The campsite is located as close as possible to the arena and is staffed by the Access Team 24 hours a day throughout the event. Security personnel and stewards are also based on the campsite. We can't provide power to your tents, but we can recharge various batteries and equipment for you on request.

Please note that submission by email alone does not automatically guarantee eligibility for the use of the accessible facilities.
If you have any queries about eligibility, please contact us before purchasing your ticket at info@jamesdeanevents.com

SUSTAINABILITY

JAMES DEAN EVENTS HAS A ZERO-WASTE-TO-LANDFILL POLICY

Willshees waste and recycling place the skips onto the customer sites at various locations. The waste is classified as general waste. This Year we also provided the site with RELs for the waste.

The site and the festival-goers, fill these skips with general waste, ranging from Food, glass, plastic, cardboard, paper and general waste.

Willshees then collects these skips and they are taken to our own MRF (Material recycling facility) Once these are around on site, all material is dropped into the tipping hall.

The grab driver will access the waste and look immediately for any large recyclable waste that he can pick out before we start the shredding process.

The waste is then loaded into our shredder where the waste is shredded and passes into a facility where it is subjected to a vigorous waste screening procedure, that looks to Recycle, Reuse and Recover.

All three of these steps, allow us to make sure we are 100% zero waste to landfill. The first 2, recycle or re-use are our main concentration, with the recover option as a viable alternative to landfill.

Recover, essentially means waste to energy.

All the materials that can be recycled and re-used are housed in their locations within our MRF to allow for the tonnages to build up, these are then transferred to various recycling centres around the UK, to go back into the UK market.

All waste that is taken from the festival sites by Willshee’s is Zero waste to landfill.
